With the appointment of Gijs Wabeke as Client Director, GoSpooky takes the next step in further building strong strategic partnerships with brands.
GoSpooky welcomes Gijs Wabeke as Client Director. In this role, he will be responsible for deepening strategic partnerships across a portfolio of brands and translating their ambitions into social-first work that is both culturally relevant and commercially effective.
With a background in media, culture, and brand partnerships, Wabeke brings extensive experience in building brand stories at the intersection of content, culture, and commerce. In previous roles, he worked at VICE Media and Highsnobiety, where he led international brand partnerships and campaigns for leading global brands.
At GoSpooky, Wabeke will work closely with strategy, creative, and client teams to help brands grow on social platforms, where content, community, and commerce increasingly converge.
Pedram Shadbash, Commercial Director at GoSpooky: “Strong client relationships are the foundation of the work we create. With Gijs, we’re bringing in someone who not only thinks strategically with brands, but also understands how culture, creativity, and commerce come together on social.”
Gijs Wabeke, Client Director at GoSpooky: “After years of working in publishing - specifically on the brand partnership side of things - I’ve seen firsthand how the best brands stay culturally relevant not through campaigns, but through a consistent social-first mindset. Brands who take social seriously need the same mentality. At GoSpooky, I want to help brands adopt that publisher logic: showing up with a culturally relevant and strong brand narrative, that feels consistent over time. Those are the kind of long-term partnerships I intend to build.”
Wabeke’s arrival aligns with GoSpooky’s continued growth and its ambition to help brands structurally leverage social platforms as a driver for brand building, community, and business results.
